Jan 15 deadline for assets details

ISLAMABAD:

The ECP on Wednesday directed lawmakers to submit their annual statements of assets and liabilities for the financial year 2023-24 by January 15, 2025 or face suspension of their membership from Jan 16.

According to a notification, 518 parliamentarians, including 23 senators, 116 members of the National Assembly, 208 members of the Punjab Assembly, 55 members of the Sindh Assembly, 91 members of the K-P Assembly, and 25 members of the Balochistan Assembly failed to submit their asset details.

The notification stated that Amir Muqam, Sardar Yousuf, Anjum Aqeel Khan, Danyal Chaudhry, Atta Tarar, Aleem Khan, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Rana Mahmoodul Hassan, Hamid Khan, Anwarul Haq Kakar, and others have yet to submit their financial statements.

It is worth noting that the ECP had instructed parliamentarians to file their annual statements of assets and liabilities, including those of their spouses and dependent children, as of June 30 of the previous year, using Form B, by Dec 31.
