LPG prices reduced on New Year's eve

LPG will now be available at Rs250 per kilogram instead of Rs254 across Pakistan

The government has announced major reduction in LPG prices on New Year's eve on Tuesday as per a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), Express News reported.

According to the notification for January, 2025, LPG prices have been decreased by Rs4 per kilogram, bringing the new rate to Rs250.28 per kilogram.

The reduction also extends to LPG cylinders, with domestic cylinders now costing Rs47 less, and commercial cylinders seeing a Rs182 cut.

OGRA further stated that the official production cost of LPG has been reduced by Rs4,020 per metric ton. Consequently, LPG will now be available at Rs250 per kilogram instead of Rs254, with domestic cylinders priced at Rs2,953 instead of Rs3,001, and commercial cylinders at Rs11,363 instead of Rs11,545.
