Influencer Woah Vicky is under fire after admitting to faking her kidnapping during a trip to Nigeria, which caused widespread panic among her followers. The incident began when tweets from her account claimed she was abducted and held for a $1 million ransom.
"I have kidnapped Vicky. She is with me in Nigeria. I am demanding $1 million for her release," read one tweet, accompanied by images of Vicky with a man who was later identified as her brother.
The posts led to an outpouring of concern, with a friend, Rony Fargo, even filing a police report, believing the abduction was real. However, the situation took a shocking turn when Vicky deleted the tweets and confessed during a livestream that the entire ordeal was fabricated.
"Sorry about that, everything’s good, y’all," she said. "I was bored and having fun, just getting a laugh. It’s all love, I’m just having fun with my brother, everything’s good."

Her confession was met with swift backlash, as many criticized her for causing unnecessary panic and trivializing a serious issue. Fargo, who was duped by the hoax, expressed frustration on Instagram, replacing his original post with a statement about being misled.
