Wedding celebrations of Nawaz Sharif’s grandson underway at Jati Umra

The wedding will include close relatives, foreign guests, and political figures.

The Nikkah of Zaid Hussain Nawaz, grandson of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, was solemnised at Jati Umra, Lahore, on Wednesday night, marking the start of the wedding celebrations.

Jati Umra has been decorated for the wedding celebrations of Nawaz Sharif’s grandson, Zaid Hussain Nawaz, with guests attending from India and other countries.

According to Express News, the wedding festivities of Zaid Hussain Nawaz, grandson of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, are ongoing. The wedding procession (baraat) will depart from Jati Umra today and head to a private hotel on Raiwind Road.

The procession will include close relatives, foreign guests, and political figures. The Walima reception is scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, December 29, at Jati Umra, with 500 guests expected at the baraat and 700 at the Walima.

Earlier, the Nikkah and Mehndi ceremonies of Zaid Hussain Nawaz, son of Hussain Nawaz, were held at Jati Umra.

Jati Umra has been illuminated with decorative lights for the wedding festivities. Guests from the United States, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, and India are attending the ceremonies.

Hussain Nawaz, his family, and his sister Asma Dar are present for the wedding. Security arrangements for the guests have been managed by Punjab Police. Roads leading to Jati Umra have been decorated with lights, and flower pots have been placed along the pathways to enhance the area’s appearance.
