George Clooney recently shared insights into parenting his seven-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella, with wife Amal Clooney. Speaking in unearthed interviews from 2020 and 2023, the 63-year-old actor humorously expressed concern about his children becoming "too British" due to their exposure to British slang and culture.

In a 2020 conversation with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, Clooney revealed his efforts to steer his multilingual children away from British terms like “jumper” and “pavement” in favor of American equivalents. Reflecting on their holiday traditions, he shared an anecdote about his son insisting Santa prefers “milk and a mince pie,” showcasing how British culture has shaped their perspective.

While addressing their linguistic quirks, Clooney also shared how he creatively manages their behavior during the holidays. He explained a playful tactic involving Santa Claus, where he pretends to converse with Santa outside their bedroom door. The method, designed to encourage good behavior, reportedly works wonders with his twins.

In a 2023 interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Clooney revealed that Alexander and Ella now speak French and Italian, languages he does not understand. Jokingly describing himself as “not very smart,” Clooney humorously recounted how his children see through his attempts to fake phrases in these languages.

Beyond his family life, Clooney recently starred in Wolfs alongside Brad Pitt and is set to make his Broadway debut next year with an adaptation of his critically acclaimed film Good Night, and Good Luck. This marks a significant milestone in Clooney’s career as he expands his repertoire to the stage.
