Netflix's Emily in Paris will be doing a US sartorial takeover with an interactive fashion show in 2025, as per The Hollywood Reporter. The show-inspired event, titled Couture on Tour: An Emily in Paris Experience, will incorporate a blend of elements from the series, from the fan-favourite garb to the breathtaking landscapes of Paris.
The distinctive sidewalk-to-stage show will be brought to life by Atomic Venus Media and Paramount. It will also spotlight pieces by costume designer Marylin Fitoussi, whose artistry serves as the main inspiration for the event. Not only will attendees be able to witness the world of Emily in Paris up close, but they will also be taking a piece of the City of Lights home after the experience, claims a press release.
In a statement, the comedy show's creator Darren Star shared that his own "adventures" in the city influenced the narrative of Emily in Paris. "I am thrilled that fans will be able to enjoy an experience that will transport audiences into Emily's enchanting world. As we celebrate the fourth season now streaming on Netflix and the exciting renewal for a fifth season, the profound connection fans have with the characters is what gives this series its enduring appeal. I am excited for this elevated live event for Emily in Paris enthusiasts across the nation," he expressed.
Earlier, in September, cast leader Lily Collins announced the anticipated return of the series in an interview with Good Morning America. "We all just found out ourselves, so this is brand new for everyone," she said. "I'm hoping that for season five now, we get to explore more of Italy. We had just the best time (in Rome). The whole cast felt a little bit like Emily did in Season One, running around the city, wide-eyed. And just, everything was just so exciting."
And now, as if in answer to the cast's ever-growing wonder for beautiful cities, the show is touring like it never did before. The event serves as a historic moment for Atomic Venus Media, as the fashion experience is gearing up to be their first major tour and will set a precedent for the future of more such live experiences.
"Bringing Darren Star's incomparable writing and character development to life through a female-led production company is deeply meaningful," said founder ElizBeth Jones. "As he has proved time and time again, Fashion is art and art is for everyone. This tour will captivate audiences in ways they haven't seen before." The event, which will take place in spring and summer, will mark checkpoints in more than twenty-five cities.
