Israel is systemically carrying out ethnic cleansing in Gaza. A report from Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has found "clear signs of ethnic cleansing" in the besieged Palestinian enclave. The organisation further stated that they have observed "clear signs ... as Palestinian life is being wiped off" in the region. MSF's findings come as no surprise to those who have witnessed the relentless bombardment, displacement, and systematic destruction of entire neighbourhoods in Gaza. The report documents the obliteration of homes, the killing of civilians and the destruction of vital infrastructure, leaving Palestinians with little to no access to healthcare, clean water and other basic necessities. MSF's teams in Gaza have repeatedly raised alarm about the growing humanitarian crisis, pointing to widespread violations of international law and calls for accountability for the suffering caused.

The scale of the barbarity carried out by Israeli forces is hard to overstate. Airstrikes, shelling and blockades have trapped civilians in a hellish situation, exacerbating the trauma of years of occupation. The destruction of hospitals and medical facilities has crippled Gaza's ability to care for its wounded and sick, while the international community's response remains tepid at best. The Serbians did something similar, but on a much smaller scale, during the Bosnian War of the 90s. Back then, nations led by the self-proclaimed global policeman - the United States - acted per international human rights law and conducted a military intervention to stop the Serbs. However, the same countries have now turned a blind eye to Israeli atrocities. The hypocrisy could not be more blatant. It is imperative that the world demand an end to these atrocities and a commitment to finding a just and lasting peace. The plight of Palestinians in Gaza is a humanitarian crisis of unprecedented scale, and it requires urgent global attention and intervention.
