Ryan Reynolds is adding a festive twist to his Deadpool character for this year’s holiday campaign supporting the SickKids Foundation. Collaborating with Lynda Carter, the original Wonder Woman, the video combines humor and charity to encourage donations to The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

In the video, Deadpool, played by Reynolds, and Kidpool, portrayed by Reynolds' daughter Inez, set out to "eliminate sick kids" — quickly clarified as eliminating sickness through charitable donations. Their antics lead to an appearance by Lynda Carter, reprising her iconic Wonder Woman role with a comedic twist. After attempting her famous transformation spin, Carter hilariously ends up in an oversized ugly Christmas sweater instead of her classic costume.

Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, pledged to match donations made via SickKidsSweaterLove.ca by December 24, up to $500,000. The campaign aims to raise funds for the SickKids Foundation, which has supported The Hospital for Sick Children since 1972. Known for its mission to improve pediatric healthcare and advance scientific research, the foundation holds a special place in Canadian philanthropy.

The holiday video, full of witty banter and Marvel-versus-DC jokes, also features Kidpool calling Carter’s sweater "f------ ugly" and Deadpool humorously blaming legal restrictions for the wardrobe malfunction. The campaign video ends with a heartfelt appeal for donations to aid children and their families.

This latest initiative reflects Reynolds’ ongoing commitment to using his platform for good while infusing entertainment and humor into his charitable efforts.
