In a recent development, inmates at SCI Huntingdon are speaking out about the treatment of fellow prisoner, Luigi Mangione, sharing their views on his living conditions.

A clip aired by NewsNation shows one inmate shouting, “Luigi’s conditions suck! Free Luigi!” from behind the prison walls. While the sincerity of the comment remains unclear, it signals growing concern about Mangione's situation.

The following evening, during NewsNation’s "Banfield" show hosted by Ashleigh Banfield, the conversation continued as Banfield engaged with inmates outside the facility, asking questions and allowing them to respond via audio. The inmates made light of Mangione’s situation, humorously suggesting he was watching "Banfield" in his cell, though they later clarified that he does not have a television.

In a bizarre twist, some inmates began switching their lights on and off during the interview, indicating that they had control over their own cell lighting.

While Mangione remains confined to a solitary cell and has not participated in the interview, it’s clear that his case is drawing attention from inside the prison. Mangione is being held at SCI Huntingdon, near Altoona, Pennsylvania, as he faces multiple felony charges, including a murder charge in Manhattan.
