Five of a family killed in Balochistan traffic accident

Family was traveling to Karachi to visit their ailing sister.

A head-on collision between a car and a speeding truck on the Quetta-Karachi highway near Winder, Lasbela district, resulted in the deaths of five people, including three women and a six-year-old girl, on Wednesday evening.

According to police officials, the accident occurred in the Adam-Khand area when a car traveling from Quetta to Karachi was struck by a truck coming from the opposite direction.

"Three women and a six-year-old girl died on the spot, while a fifth victim succumbed to injuries while being shifted to Karachi," a police official reported

The deceased were identified as 6-year-old Mehreen, Maria Batool, 32-year-old Sharifa, 20-year-old Rohaba, and 27-year-old Anas Gul Ali.

The bodies have been moved to Imam Bargah Abu al-Fazl Abbas in Hussain Hazara Goth, Karachi.

According to family members, the victims were traveling to Karachi to visit their ailing sister, who is undergoing cancer treatment.

After funeral rites, the bodies will be transported to Quetta by ambulance for burial in the local cemetery at Hazara Colony.
