CM Maryam Nawaz visits AI-focused school in Shanghai

The CM inquired about AI teaching methods and examined the students' AI creations at the Shanghai Experimental School.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif began her day in Shanghai with visits to the Shanghai Experimental School and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The Shanghai Experimental School has been established to teach children the sciences of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Children between the ages of 12 to 15 at the school are introduced to advanced AI techniques and concepts.

During her visit, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif observed various departments of the Shanghai Experimental School and arrived at the classrooms to witness the modern methods being used to teach AI to the students.

She inquired about the teaching methods for AI education and examined the AI creations of the students.

During the visit, Maryam Nawaz Sharif met with Guan Wenji, Director of the Jia Ding District Bureau of Education, and Dr. Xia Hongmei, President of the Shanghai Experimental School and Chinese Academy of Sciences.

She also received a special briefing on China’s education system.

The Shanghai Experimental School offers free AI education to young students, with children from Shanghai and surrounding areas enrolled in the program.

Maryam Nawaz inquired about the school’s budget, curriculum, and teaching methods, and also gathered information on the expert AI teachers at the institution.

CM Maryam Nawaz tours CPC museum in China, hails rich historical legacy

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was warmly welcomed by the authorities of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Museum during her visit.

She and her delegation were given a detailed briefing on the historical journey of the Communist Party of China’s (CPC) evolution.

The CPC Museum presented a visual history of the Communist Party of China, showcasing China's history and the revolution, including the struggles of Mao Zedong, the founding figure of the Chinese revolution.

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari shared that during her visit to China, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is making historic agreements. Maryam is on the verge of changing the fate of Punjab, she said.

The CM has secured agreements for the most advanced cancer treatments and also for introducing innovation in Punjab’s agriculture sector. "With Allah’s help, Maryam Nawaz is transforming the province’s future," the provincial information minister maintained.

Earlier the CM Punjab expressed keen interest in the e-commerce sector and highlighted its potential during a recent visit to Shanghai’s industrial zone.

She also examined the Hong Qiao Import Commodity, Exhibition, and Trading Centre, where she showed particular interest in the displayed products.

During the visit, Maryam Nawaz toured the Pakistani stall at the exhibition, where she was briefed about various sectors and Pakistan’s growing exports.
