Drive against drug dealers intensified

The department has intensified the action against narcotics dealers, suppliers and their facilitators

KARACHI:

The Sindh Excise and Narcotics Control department, in the ongoing province-wide drive against drug peddlers, arrested 16 suspects and recovered over 38 kilograms of narcotics.

The department has intensified the action against narcotics dealers, suppliers and their facilitators across the province.

Snap checking, part of the drive, has been boosted especially in the border area of Sindh to prevent smuggling of drugs into the province.

During the snap checking, 4.5kg of heroine, 28.43kg hashish, 2.5kg opium, 2.535kg of crystal ice, three litres of liquor and 50 sedative pills have been recovered in a month.

Besides the arrest of 16 drug peddlers, one car and three motorcycles have also been recovered while 11 different cases have been registered against the suspects.
