Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, and Sean "Diddy" Combs have been named in a civil lawsuit accusing them of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000.

The anonymous accuser, identified as "Jane Doe," refiled the lawsuit on Sunday, originally submitted in October solely against Combs, in the Southern District of New York.

The alleged incident occurred after the MTV Video Music Awards. According to the lawsuit, the accuser was invited to a party after being told by a limousine driver that she "fit what Diddy was looking for." She was taken to a house where she signed a document she believed was a non-disclosure agreement to gain entry.

The lawsuit describes the party as filled with celebrities, drugs, and alcohol. The accuser alleges she was given a drink that left her feeling disoriented and went to lie down. She claims Carter and Combs entered the room, with Combs saying, "You are ready to party!" before they both sexually assaulted her.

The accuser says she escaped further assault by striking Combs and fled the house, later calling her father from a gas station.

Filed under New York’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, the lawsuit seeks unspecified damages. Combs, currently jailed on unrelated charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, has denied all allegations. Jay-Z’s representatives have not yet commented.

The lawsuit has drawn significant public attention, highlighting broader concerns about abuse within the entertainment industry.
