Murree witnessed its first snowfall of the winter season on Sunday, attracting visitors to the famous hill station.
As snow began to fall, families from Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and surrounding areas flocked to the hill station to enjoy the beauty of the winter.
Tourists in Murree made the most of the snowfall, savouring the winter experience. During this time, the administration completed the snow-clearing process on the roads.
The Highway Department and other agencies worked at various points to keep traffic flow smooth. In anticipation of more snow in Murree, the district administration has kept all departments on alert.
Murree Deputy Commissioner (DC) Agha Abbas Shirazi stated that the administration has made excellent arrangements for tourists coming to enjoy the snowfall in Murree.
The administration has set up 13 different facilitation centres across Murree, where officials from relevant departments are available to assist and guide tourists. Additionally, a control room monitors road clearance through staff attendance and CCTV cameras.
The DC further mentioned that salt is being spread on the roads to prevent icy conditions, and all administrative agencies are actively working in the field. Timely steps have been taken by the administration to clear snow from the roads.
