Sabrina Carpenter’s new Netflix holiday special, A Nonsense Christmas, has brought holiday cheer to fans with a delightful duet featuring fellow pop sensation Chappell Roan.

The duo performed an enchanting rendition of Wham!’s 1984 classic “Last Christmas”, dazzling audiences with their vocals and festive style.

Carpenter, 25, and Roan, 26, donned coordinating green velvet dresses and white furs while singing on a set resembling the aftermath of a lively holiday party. Speaking about the creative direction of the performance, set designer Jason Sherwood told Yahoo! Entertainment that the stars envisioned a more relaxed, informal vibe.

“They both came back to the team being like, ‘We want to do something that feels a little more informal [and] kind of chill,’” Sherwood explained. The result was a design that blended ’80s prom nostalgia with modern holiday aesthetics, making it a standout moment in the show.

The holiday special, which debuted on December 6, also features appearances from celebrities like Quinta Brunson, Cara Delevingne, Megan Stalter, and Sean Astin. Carpenter’s mix of holiday jingles and her own chart-topping hits has made A Nonsense Christmas a seasonal must-watch.

Roan and Carpenter’s friendship adds depth to the performance. Roan previously described their bond to Rolling Stone, saying, “We’re both going through something so f---ing hard... it’s good to know someone else feels that way.”
