ISTANBUL/ TURKEY:

A natural gas explosion occurred in an apartment in Beylikduzu district of Turkiye's Istanbul city, leaving one person dead and three others injured, 

The explosion took place around 8:00 a.m. in the Adnan Kahveci neighborhood, a residential area located in Beylikduzu district on Istanbul’s European side.

The blast was caused by a gas leak on the entrance floor of a 14-story apartment building. Emergency services, including health, police, and firefighters, were quickly dispatched to the scene.

A trained sniffer dog was also brought in to assist in the search efforts. The Istanbul Fire Brigade confirmed that the explosion resulted from natural gas leak.

The explosion occurred in an apartment on the ground floor of the building on Topcu Street in the Beylikduzu Adnan Kahveci District. Emergency teams evacuated residents from the upper floors, and search operations continued at the site.

The explosion has left one person dead and three others injured, and authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the incident.
