Two persons were killed and a man and his son were critically injured when a speeding trailer crushed two motorcyclists near Memon Goth Link Road, Malir.
Police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the victims to Jinnah Hospital.
The driver responsible for the accident fled the scene as usual while the police impounded the trailer. Deceased were identified as Asad, 22, and Riyaz, 45, while, the seriously injured were identified as Lakho, 45.
The victims were reportedly the residents of Memon Goth.
Meanwhile, a person lost his life when a speeding hit-and-run vehicle knocked his motorcycle on Shershah bridge. Identity of the deceased could not be confirmed till late.
The victim appears to be in his 40s.
In another road accident, one motorcyclist lost his life when unknown vehicle hit him in the Lines Area. Body of the deceased, identified as Khadim Hussain, 63, was shifted to the hospital.
In another road mishap, two persons riding a motorcycle were seriously injured when a speeding hit-and-run vehicle hit their bike near ICI Chowk on Mauripur Road.
The injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital in critical condition where 40-year-old Kashif succumbed to his injuries, while 18-year-old Aziz, who was seriously injured, was admitted for medical aid. Police are investigating.
