Pop sensation Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce celebrated Thanksgiving together in Nashville, Tennessee, marking a special milestone in their relationship. The 34-year-old singer and the 35-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end hosted a festive family gathering, bringing both of their families together to celebrate the holiday.
A source close to the couple exclusively confirmed to PEOPLE that Taylor and her family, including her parents Scott and Andrea, invited Travis’ family for a cozy Thanksgiving dinner. "Taylor and her family were excited to host the Kelces this year," the insider shared.
After the Thanksgiving festivities, Taylor joined Travis' mother Donna in Kansas City to cheer on the Chiefs during their victory against the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday, Nov. 29. The pair arrived at Arrowhead Stadium, supporting Travis as he prepped for the important game.
Despite the public nature of their relationship, Taylor and Travis tend to keep their personal lives relatively private. Fans were taken by surprise when Travis' mom Donna had hinted just days earlier that Taylor might not attend the Kelce family Thanksgiving. During an appearance on the Today show, Donna, 72, mentioned that Taylor would likely not be joining the family due to her ongoing Eras Tour commitments. “I don’t think so. She’s kind of busy right now,” Donna had said, referring to Taylor’s jam-packed schedule as the tour nears its final show on Dec. 8. Donna also joked that the Kelces’ Thanksgiving might revolve more around football than a traditional dinner.
However, the celebration unfolded as a festive, family-oriented affair, surprising fans and showing a more intimate side of Taylor and Travis’ relationship. This marks the first Thanksgiving the couple has spent together, as Taylor was in South America during Thanksgiving weekend in 2023, performing for her Eras Tour.
Fans of the couple may have been particularly interested in Travis’ recent comments about his relationship with Taylor. On the New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason, Travis expressed his happiness, subtly confirming that things were going well between him and Taylor. “We’re both very happy in our relationships,” Travis shared in a November episode of the podcast.
This Thanksgiving, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s bond appeared stronger than ever, with both stars blending their worlds of music and football for a family-focused holiday celebration.
