PESHAWAR:

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has ordered the removal of Special Assistant to Chief Minister Mashal Yousafzai from her position following her controversial interview on a private news channel on Friday.

A letter from the Chief Minister's Secretariat to the Secretary of the KP government's administration department, dated November 29, directed: "CM KP has directed that Miss Mashal Azam, special assistant to CM KP, may immediately be de-notified".

The letter further instructed that necessary actions be taken promptly, with the secretariat to be kept informed.

In her interview, Yousafzai spoke about the events surrounding the November 24 protest called by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), particularly regarding Bushra Bibi's participation and her subsequent return to K-P.
