PTI Protest: Educational institutions to remain closed in Islamabad on Monday

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad stated that decision was taken "in view of the prevailing political situation"

The district administration has announced the closure of all educational institutions in the capital tomorrow, citing the current political climate as the reason for the decision.

According to a spokesperson for Islamabad’s district administration, all schools and colleges in the federal capital will remain closed, with an official notification to be issued shortly.

The announcement was confirmed by Deputy Commissioner Islamabad on the social media platform X, where he stated that the decision was taken "in view of the prevailing political situation."

The spokesperson clarified that this closure applies solely to educational institutions within the federal capital.

The decision follows a political tension as PTI announced march towards Islamabad and hold a protest at D-Chowk, following a call by party founder Imran Khan. Supporters of the party have begun gathering at the Peshawar Motorway as part of the planned protest.

The party, led by former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has called on the public to join the march to "break the shackles of slavery." Imran Khan, in a statement, urged the masses to unite for the protest, calling it a movement for freedom and justice.
