The Karachi Air Show will take place at Karachi's Sea View beach as part of the ongoing defence exhibition IDEAS 2024.
The event will feature live demonstrations from all three armed forces of Pakistan, highlighting their professionalism and state-of-the-art military assets.
Notable displays include the Pakistan Navy’s Sea King helicopters, which will demonstrate combat readiness, as well as a stunning aerial fly-past by the Pakistan Air Force’s JF-17 Thunder and F-16 jets.
The show will also showcase the prowess of the elite Special Services Group (SSG) Commandos, who will leap from thousands of feet to the ground, displaying their precision and training.
This event will provide an opportunity for both local and foreign dignitaries, including ambassadors and military attachés, to witness the capabilities of Pakistan's armed forces.
The event is set to highlight the synergy between Pakistan’s military branches and will give citizens a closer look at the nation's defense readiness, all while promoting international military cooperation and fostering national pride.
Yesterday, Pakistan introduced the Haadif Small Arms Simulator at the Defence Expo 2024 in Karachi, aimed at enhancing soldier training and combat readiness.
The simulator allows soldiers to train with various weapons, including the G3 rifle, LMG, SMG, and pistol, improving shooting accuracy and tactical skills in diverse terrains.
Colonel Tahir of the Pakistan Army emphasised its ability to prepare soldiers for real-world challenges.
The 12th edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2024, held from November 19-22, showcased Pakistan's advancements in defense technology.
The event featured 224 local and 333 international companies, with participation from 17 new countries.
Key highlights included the Haider tank and Shahpar-3 drone, reflecting Pakistan's growing self-reliance in military production.

Due to the IDEAS Karachi Show at Nishan-e-Pakistan (Sea View), citizens will face traffic hurdles starting from 11:30 AM, as schools in DHA Phases 5, 6, and 8 closed early.
With VIP movements and public turnout for the event, heavy congestion is expected.
Avoid Abdul Sattar Edhi Avenue and surrounding roads due to security measures.
