Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has opposed the military operation in Balochistan, stating that it will worsen the situation.
JUI-F Balochistan leader Senator Maulana Abdul Wasay rejected the approval and decision of the military operation in Balochistan during a recent Apex Committee meeting. "We do not support any kind of military operation."
He added that a military operation in the province would worsen the situation, as incidents of terrorism are already on the rise in the province.
Maulana Abdul Wasay also pointed out that during the investigation of the suicide bombing on a Chinese convoy in Karachi, raids were conducted on seminaries in Chaman and Pashtun areas, with claims that these places were linked to the attacks.
"The government must remember that seminaries are our red line, and we are prepared to go to any extent to protect their sanctity," the provincial leader warned, Criticising the government, he highlighted ongoing issues such as a child's abduction six days ago in Quetta.
He also spoke about the martyrdom of people in a bomb blast at the railway station, and the massacre of labourers in Duki and Harnai.
Maulana Abdul Wasay expressed concern over the deteriorating situation over the last three months. To address this, the JUI-F's provincial shura and other responsible officials convened a meeting on November 18.
He questioned the allocation of billions of rupees in the budget for security if institutions fail to control the situation. "If we cannot achieve protection despite this budget, then these institutions should step aside," he said.
