A Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson reiterated Beijing's strong backing for Pakistan in its ongoing efforts to combat terrorism, particularly in the troubled region of Balochistan.

During a regular press briefing on Wednesday, Lin Jian expressed China's unwavering commitment to supporting Pakistan’s fight against the menace of terrorism. "Let me say broadly that China firmly supports Pakistan’s effort of fighting terrorism," he stated, responding to a query about Pakistan's comprehensive military operation targeting terrorism in Balochistan.

Lin also highlighted that China is eager to deepen practical cooperation with Pakistan across various sectors, aiming to bring further benefits to both nations and their peoples.

This statement comes as Pakistan’s National Action Plan Apex Committee has announced the launch of a comprehensive military operation in Balochistan aimed at dismantling terrorist networks and militant groups operating in the region. The move is part of a broader effort to eliminate the threat of terrorism and bring stability to the province.

The support from China underscores the strength of the bilateral relationship between the two countries, with both sides committed to enhancing collaboration in counter-terrorism and other key areas.
