LAHORE:
The Lahore Grammar School (LGS), Johar Town Campus, will host a film and photography competition Grammar Film Fest 2011.
Saad Javed, the LGS Film Making Society president, said that the school was accepting nationwide entries from various schools and individual participants. So far 20 submissions have been received, he told The Express Tribune. The event has been organised by the LGS Film Making Society (FMS).
Javed said it was the second time that LGS was hosting a film making event. He said entries had been invited in five categories; short film, documentary, advertisement, music video and photography.
The competition, he said, will be judged by a panel of media professionals and teachers from the Lahore University of Management and Sciences, the Beaconhouse National University and the National College of Arts. Javed said that actor Shaan was also expected to join the jury.
The last date to submit entries is October 3.
