The Tesla Bot Action Figure, a seven-inch collectible inspired by Tesla’s anticipated humanoid robot, has created a frenzy among fans and collectors.
Priced at $40, the action figure sold out in less than 24 hours after its release on Saturday, according to Teslarati.
Customers can now only sign up for restock notifications, while resale listings on eBay are fetching prices between $130 and $1,300.
Tesla describes the toy as "Your mini autonomous assistant and humanoid friend," with "over 40 individual parts and 20 points of articulation to look—and move—like our Gen 2 humanoid robot."
The action figure also includes a charging stand and a "CyberHammer" accessory, making it a sought-after collectible.
The toy, scaled at 1:10, mirrors Tesla’s vision for the real humanoid robot introduced by Elon Musk in 2021. While the full-sized, 5-foot, 8-inch Optimus robot is still in development, the action figure brings Musk’s futuristic concept into homes.
As for the full-sized Tesla humanoid robot, Musk shared updates during a July earnings call. "We expect to have several thousand Optimus robots produced and doing useful things by the end of next year in the Tesla factories,"
Musk stated. However, these early models will be for internal use to "iron out the issues" before wider production ramps up in 2026.
While fans eagerly await Tesla’s next moves, the action figure has become a temporary stand-in for Musk’s ambitious AI vision, blending innovation with playful collectibility.
