The Sindh government has announced an increase in salaries of the rather demoralised Sindh police force.
The announcement came on Monday night, just hours after the city police chief, Saud Mirza, announced the progress of the ongoing crackdown against target killers in the city.
According to a notification, Inspector General Police Wajid Durrani and Additional IG Saud Mirza will each get a raise of Rs20,000.
Inspectors and sub inspectors salaries will go up by Rs7,300, deputy inspector generals and senior superintendents police officers’ by Rs1,550, ASIs, head constables and constables will get a Rs4,400 increase while SP and DSP level officers will get Rs12,800 more each.
