Chrisean Rock is taking a new direction in her life following a heartfelt baptism. The rapper and reality TV star shared a video of her baptism on Sunday, November 10, along with a message expressing gratitude to her Christian family.
This year has been challenging for Rock—real name Chrisean Malone—with incidents including time in jail and publicized domestic issues with her child's father, Blueface.
However, as the year draws to a close, the “Rainy Days” rapper is focusing on sending a positive message to her supporters.
The emotional video shows the moment Rock was submerged and emerged with renewed purpose.
“Gracious God, today I rejoice in the promise of new life that baptism symbolizes,” she wrote. “Thank You for cleansing my heart and welcoming me into Your family. As I rise from these waters, may I walk in the light of Your Spirit and grow in the love of Christ each day. Guide my steps, uphold me in faith, and help me to live out Your truth in all I do. Amen.”
Following her baptism, Rock revealed plans to shift her music to a gospel-inspired genre she calls “hood gospel.”
She shared her commitment with fans, explaining that she is “serious about turning a new page” and embracing her faith.
“Embracing a new life and walking in purity is a beautiful journey, one that reflects the transformative power of God’s love and grace,” she said.
Karlissa Saffold Harvey, Blueface’s mother, responded to Rock’s baptism by resharing the clip on Instagram, writing, “It might seem flip-flopping, but I ain’t going to deny her if she joined my father’s hood today… Everything I hated about her was left in that water because I know what my father in heaven can do! To God be the glory.”
While some fans have questioned Rock’s intentions, Harvey’s message has brought hope for reconciliation between the two women.
Many supporters are encouraging them to put aside past conflicts for the sake of Chrisean and Blueface’s son.
Rock has yet to respond to the comments from Harvey, but her supporters remain optimistic about a fresh start. It is yet to be confirmed whether Rock will continue her appearance on 'Baddies: Midwest,' where ongoing disputes with her sister Tesehki have made headlines.
