Nintendo has filed a lawsuit against streamer Jesse Keighin, known as “EveryGameGuru,” for illegally streaming pirated games.

Titles like ‘The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom,’ ‘Mario Kart 8 Deluxe,’ and ‘Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’ were reportedly streamed on platforms like Twitch, YouTube, and Kick. According to court documents filed in Colorado on November 6, Nintendo claims Keighin ignored multiple DMCA notices and cease-and-desist orders, continuing to stream and guide viewers on unauthorized hardware use.

The lawsuit alleges that Keighin repeatedly created new accounts on various platforms when his streams were removed, even taunting Nintendo by saying, “You can try to stop me, but I’ll keep going.” On October 24, he reportedly sent a letter to Nintendo, boasting, “I have a thousand burner channels to stream from” and “[I] can do this all day.”

Nintendo argues that Keighin’s actions foster a “culture of infringement” harmful to game sales and hardware exclusivity. The company calculates damages at $150,000 per infraction, totaling at least $7.5 million for fifty alleged violations over two years. The lawsuit highlights Keighin’s unauthorized stream of ‘Mario & Luigi: Brothership’ on October 22, ahead of its November 7 release.

Nintendo’s action reflects its broader efforts to combat piracy, aiming to protect its high-profile titles and intellectual property.
