A new leak hints that Epic Games is set to bring back the popular Fortnite OG mode as a permanent feature following the end of the Chapter 2 Remix season.

Initially reintroduced in November 2023, Fortnite OG mode celebrated the game's roots by showcasing the original map, quickly captivating players and setting a record with 44.7 million players on launch day. Despite the overwhelming response, Epic Games limited access to the mode for only 30 days.

According to insider HYPEX, Fortnite OG will become a permanent mode in December, with each season from Chapter 1 (S1-S10) reappearing monthly. This version is rumored to feature OG loot, alongside support for both Builds and Zero Build game modes. HYPEX and prominent Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR verified the information from an anonymous source, though Epic Games has yet to confirm it officially.

The announcement is expected to be made at either the Fortnite Remix: The Finale event on Nov. 30 at 2 p.m. ET or at The Game Awards on Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m. ET. While an official statement is pending, players are eagerly anticipating the return of this beloved mode.

Epic Games has not provided a specific release date or further details on the rumored monthly updates. If true, this development would mark a significant expansion of Fortnite’s OG offering, allowing fans to experience a rotating selection of classic Fortnite content on a regular basis.
