KARACHI:
Kamran Madhuri and Sohail aka Commander, who were booked for the attack on the police bus in Chakra Goth, were positively identified in court on Monday.
The two injured men, brought to the city courts on stretchers, appeared before Judicial Magistrate East Haleem Ahmed. They were taken upstairs one by one.
The complainant in the case, Ashique Chandio, a leader of a nationalist party, and four other witnesses, Shahid Khan, Nazeer, Muhammad Afzal and Shehzad Alam, identified the duo as the men who opened indiscriminate fire on the bus, killing and injuring residents in the locality.
Three policemen were killed and at least 28 others, including DSP Syed Badar Ali Shah, were injured in the attack that took place on August 19.
Madhuri and Commander were also injured, allegedly in the exchange of fire. They reached Jinnah hospital where they were arrested once the police suspected their involvement in the attack.
An anti-terrorism court’s administrative judge has already remanded the men to police custody till September 14.

I think its other way around, as mqm still enjoys the mandate of over 17 Million urdu and memon speakers and with this number MQM hold the city all Key areas.
@bilal ... dude Karachi mandate is accepted by all other parties, but demographics have changed in couple of recent years ... 25-30 % of karachi population is paktoons now and this is what MQM is not accepting ... so stop blaming the whole country for MQM deeds !!
@Naeem Siddiqui: MQM is indeed fighting with all parties to retain control of karachi, because right now MQM enjoys control of karachi, its power play. what kind of leadership other parties have? why dont they accept mandate of urdu speaking people? bottom line is that if Bengalis were controlling karachi with some 'A' party, all these parties would be fighting with that 'A'..

well, PPP wanted to take control of chakra goath and used police for this Illegal action and these police men were not in uniform even, MQM was winning over PPP in that area, and when armed people in minibus came from interior to help PPP armed people this incident took and mqm people were not even a where of the fact that they were firing on police.

for your kind information, madhuri was injured at around eight o clock on that day at korangi no 2.5 and this incident took place at around eleven o clock at korangi no one. he was already admitted to hospital at nine o clock, later arrested from there, this all is fake and conspirancy, media trial and judicial trial as well of native of khi.
We need more witnesses to come forward - my deepest respect for the brave people that weren't afraid to testify against these brutal criminals and their criminal networks. And reveal the pictures of these target killers, they deserved to be named and shamed to say the least.
@realize: I had these same questions in my mind and I have put them on the blogs as well. However, this news has given me the answer. If the culprits are shown to public prior to the trial then this positive identification would become meaningless. Once they are identified by the witnesses then their faces should be shown to the public.

Why hide the faces of the culprits? Instead of protecting the identity of the witnesses or the law enforcing officials, pakistan has a strange way of doing day to day business.
