Atlanta rapper Young Thug's release from jail this week following his plea deal in the YSL RICO case has ignited widespread conversations in the hip-hop community and beyond.

After gaining freedom, Young Thug took to social media with a message that sparked excitement and curiosity among fans: "Wham let’s drop one on these rats peter," he tweeted on November 3, potentially hinting at a collaboration with Lil Baby.

The tweet, filled with cryptic references to "rats" and "Peter," has led fans to speculate about its deeper meaning, particularly with regard to Gunna, another artist tied to YSL who took a plea deal almost two years ago.

Lil Baby soon responded to Thugger's tweet in a heartfelt Instagram Story, writing, "I missed you mf !! Welcome home my brudda! Thank god you able to get back to the fam in good health and spirits! Wish ya none but billions jack! #whateverwhamsaygoes."

The response further fueled speculation, as fans questioned if Young Thug’s original message might subtly reference Gunna.

Some believe Thugger’s mention of "rats" could be a jab at Gunna, as rumors of "snitching" followed his plea deal in the YSL case.

Adding to the intrigue, the conditions of Young Thug’s probation prohibit him from associating with YSL affiliates—yet Thug’s lawyer, Brian Steel, successfully petitioned for Thugger to continue collaborating with Gunna, whom he described as a "phenomenal artist."

The judge approved this exception, leading fans to wonder if Young Thug’s recent online message signals an olive branch or further tensions within YSL.

While the hip-hop community buzzes with theories, some think Thugger may be orchestrating peace, given his recent calls for artists like Drake, Future, and Metro Boomin to end their own conflicts.

As Young Thug reenters the music scene, fans are eagerly awaiting to see whether his next steps bring collaborations or closures to longstanding tensions.
