Kai Cenat addresses swatting incident and brief Twitch ban during Mafiathon 2 subathon

Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat went viral on November 3, 2024, after an alarming swatting incident was captured live during his Mafiathon 2 subathon. The 22-year-old, streaming to thousands, noticed a helicopter hovering above his residence, prompting him to exclaim, "Production, can y'all show the helicopter in the sky? Y'all got a helicopter surrounding my house, bro!" as his stream continued.

Shortly after, Cenat’s Twitch account was suspended for approximately six minutes. This brief ban marked his sixth suspension on the platform. Once the situation stabilized, Cenat shared his frustration, stating, "One of your dumba** n****s thought it was funny. Y'all called the cops... and said, 'Someone in the house shot their brother, killed them, and then shot and killed themselves.'" Cenat explained that the caller reported a serious false crime, leading to an emergency response by local authorities.

Cenat, based in New York, addressed his followers, expressing disappointment over the ongoing safety risks he faces, particularly during high-profile events like his subathon. He described how this incident adds to the "weird s**t going on in this neighborhood." The streamer later took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a positive outcome amidst the chaos, announcing a subscriber milestone of over 140,000 following the incident.

In an unrelated update, Cenat recently received praise from the online community for pledging 20% of his Mafiathon 2 earnings to fund school construction in Nigeria.
