Megan Thee Stallion has filed a lawsuit against YouTuber Milagro Gramz, accusing her of disseminating misinformation and engaging in cyberbullying in relation to the Tory Lanez shooting case. According to court filings, Megan’s legal team claims Gramz led a “campaign of harassment and cyberbullying,” including the sharing of a pornographic “deepfake” and spreading unfounded claims about the 2020 shooting. Megan’s attorneys at Quinn Emanuel stated, “Enough is enough… [she] will no longer stand for defendant’s campaign of harassment,” as the rapper, born Megan Pete, continues to address the backlash surrounding her involvement in the case.
In the lawsuit, Megan accuses Gramz of spreading “false statements” to discredit her, including allegations that Megan was never shot and that evidence in the case, specifically the firearm, was missing from court. Megan’s lawyers clarified in the filing that the firearm is still in the custody of the Los Angeles Police Department, countering Gramz’s “reckless” statements. They also claim Gramz “willfully and maliciously promoted the Deepfake Video” on social media without Megan’s consent, further exacerbating the emotional toll on the rapper.
The lawsuit follows a recent false story circulating on social media alleging that Lanez was “declared innocent” by an appeals court. Lanez was convicted in December 2022 on three felony counts related to the 2020 shooting, for which he received a 10-year sentence in August 2023; his appeal remains ongoing.
Gramz acknowledged the lawsuit in a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “I’m being sued by Alex Spiro on behalf of his client Megan Thee Stallion,” and suggested she would discuss the lawsuit publicly. As Megan’s team seeks legal redress, the case underscores the ongoing public and legal struggles tied to the high-profile incident.
