Adidas has reached an out-of-court settlement with rapper Ye, ending all legal proceedings after a two-year dispute.
The sportswear giant cut ties with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, in 2022 due to his antisemitic remarks, sparking numerous lawsuits on both sides. In an announcement on Tuesday, Adidas CEO Bjorn Gulden stated, “There isn’t any more open issues, and there is no… money going either way, and we both move on.”
“There were tensions on many issues,” Gulden continued, explaining that after weighing claims on both sides, the decision was made to withdraw all cases.
“Both parties said we don’t need to fight anymore and withdrew all the claims,” he added. The settlement details remain confidential, though it was confirmed that no financial settlement was part of the agreement.
The resolution comes as Adidas reports around 200 million euros ($215 million) in revenue from remaining Yeezy inventory sales, down from about 350 million euros in the same period last year.
While Yeezy-related income declined, Adidas saw gains in North American sales, excluding Yeezy, alongside strong growth in Greater China for the third quarter, reflecting a boost in brand image and overall market performance.
