A night of music turned into an emotional reunion when Adele and Celine Dion shared a heartfelt embrace at Adele's Las Vegas concert on Saturday, as per CNN. Performing at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, where she's held her residency for nearly two years, Adele was in the middle of Easy On Me when she caught sight of Celine in the crowd. Overcome with emotion, Adele stopped to give Celine a hug, drawing cheers from the audience, as captured in videos circulating online.
Reflecting on the moment, Adele posted on Instagram, saying, "I have been performing in Celine Dion's room at the Colosseum for almost two years now. Four weeks to go! It was the only venue I wanted to play in Vegas because it was built for her. I have a picture of her right next to the stage that I touch every night before I walk on, and she came to the show this weekend. It was a surprise, and it was a MOMENT!"
Adele continued, pouring out her admiration: "Celine Dion, I love you so very, very much. Words will never sum up what you mean to me, or what you coming to my show means, let alone how it felt seeing you back in your palace with your beautiful family. I have loved being there; it has been such an honour, and Saturday night will be something I remember forever and ever. Such a full-circle moment for me to be there with you. Thank you so much."
Celine's rare public appearance comes nearly two years after she shared her struggle with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that has kept her away from the stage. Since revealing her diagnosis in December 2022, Dion has described how the disorder feels like "somebody's strangling you" when she tries to sing, leading her to pause her performances indefinitely.
