Intense battles were seen at the Nat'l Taekwondo Championships

Intense battles were witnessed on the second day of the 17th Korean Ambassador National Taekwondo Championship 2024 here on Sunday, showcasing some of Pakistan's top taekwondo talent. The event supported by Combaxx saw compeitions in the cadet boys -57 kg, cadet boys +57 kg, cadet girls -51 kg, cadet girls +51 kg categories. In the senior division, the competitions were conducted in senior female kyorugi -46 kg, senior para male -70 kg, senior para female -60 kg and senior female team.

Raheem of Balochistan won a gold medal in the under-57kg males category while Hashir of KPK bagged a silver medal and Junaid of Islamabad Association clinched a bronze.

In the +57kg category, Azlan of KPK bagged a gold medal while Balochistan's Zohaib clinched silver and Jawad of Islamabad Yellow won a bronze.

In the female cadets under-51kg category, Ghous Fatima of Islamabad Purple clinched a gold medal while Zainab Aftab of Islamabad Golden team bagged a silver and Khadija of Islamabad Association and Aima Tariq of KPK won a bronze each.

In the +57kg female category, Maiza of Islamabad Association won a gold medal while Khushbakht from KPK clinched a silver. Mahim of Islamabad Black and Gul Nain of Punjab won a bronze each.

In the para khyrougi under-60kg completions for the female category, Saira of Pak Army won a gold medal while Hira of KPK bagged a silver and Punjab's Javeria managed to clinch a bronze medal.

In the para khyrougi males under under 70kg competitions, Arsalan of Pak Army won a gold medal in style while Ehtisham of KPK clinched a silver medal. Saleem of PAF and Balochistan's Zahid won a bronze each.

Distinguished guests present on the occasion included Omar Saeed, CEO, Pakistan Taekwondo Federation, Murtaza Hassan Bangash, Secretary General PTF, Dr Izhar ul Haq, Secretary, Punjab Taekwondo Association, Naseebullah Babar, President, Quetta Taekwondo Association, Yousef Karami, Head Coach PTF among others.
