PESHAWAR:

Renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikhul Hadith Maulana Muhammad Idris urges female lawyers to use the term "dissolution of marriage" alongside "khula" (separation) in court divorce proceedings so that women do not lose out on financial settlements.

He also stated that hospitality holds significant importance in Islam, with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) emphasisng the respect and honor of guests.

He added that the rights given to women in Islam are unmatched in any other religion. He also highlighted that the increasing divorce rates in society are due to a lack of adherence to Islamic teachings. He called for legislation against those who issue three divorces simultaneously.

Maulana expressed these views during an event at Peshawar High Court's Safirullah Hall on the importance of hospitality in Islam.

Maulana Sheikhul Hadith emphasised that while people have taught their children Western culture, they have failed to acquaint them with Islamic and cultural values.
