BEIJING: President Asif Zardari’s recent visit to Xinjiang achieved three objectives, including meeting younger leadership of China, enhancing connectivity between Pakistan and Xinjiang and helping China launch its Sino-Eurasia bridge, said Islamabad’s envoy to Beijing Ambassador Masood Khan in an interview. Terming the trip “very successful,” Masood said that at present, there are 13,000 Chinese nationals working on about 120 projects in Pakistan in diverse fields. “Despite some challenges, [the current situation] is most promising for foreign investors especially for our Chinese friends,” Masood said.
