10 FC personnel martyred in terrorist attack on DI Khan check post
Terrorists from the Fitna al-Khawarij group attacked a security check post in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province's Dera Ismail Khan district, resulting in the martyrdom of ten Frontier Corps (FC) personnel.
Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the FC check post in Dera Ismail Khan and also denounced the incidents involving firing at the SHO’s vehicle in Bannu and a sub-inspector in Kohat.
Naqvi paid homage to the ten FC personnel who were martyred in the attack on the ZAM check post.
The attackers struck the ZAM FC check post in the Darazinda area of DI Khan under the cover of darkness, where the ten FC personnel were martyred while bravely confronting the external terrorists.
Naqvi reported that six of the martyred FC personnel were from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's South Waziristan, and four hailed from the Karak district.
The Minister paid tribute to the martyred FC personnel, stating that their great sacrifices further strengthen the nation’s unwavering resolve.
Earlier in August, at least 11 policemen were martyred and nine others injured when dacoits launched a rocket attack on two police vehicles in the Machka area near the Punjab-Sindh border, as confirmed by a Punjab police spokesperson.
The police vehicles were returning from a camp in the Katcha area when they were ambushed, resulting in multiple casualties.
