Tim Burton, the iconic director behind Batman, Beetlejuice, and Wednesday, revealed that he avoids the internet because it makes him feel depressed.
Speaking to BBC News ahead of the opening of his career retrospective exhibition in London, Burton admitted, “I get depressed very quickly... I try to avoid it because it doesn’t make me feel good.” The exhibition, The World of Tim Burton, will showcase 600 items from his extensive film career, offering fans a glimpse into his creative process.
Burton, who recently released Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and is working on Wednesday season two, prefers to find solace by looking at clouds and spending time with his giant dinosaur models. Despite his love for filmmaking, Burton ruled out directing another superhero movie, explaining that the pressure today is far different from when he made Batman in 1989.
