A thanksgiving day will be observed nationwide on Friday (today) on the orders of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, party spokesperson Aslam Ghori has confirmed.
The party called on the nation to offer prostrations of gratitude to the Almighty for the strengthened protection of Islamic provisions in the Constitution, urging special prayers and nawafil at mosques and seminaries.
The JUI-F spokesperson emphasized that imams should educate the people about the prohibition of interest (riba).
He further stated that the role of JUI-F in safeguarding Islam and democracy within the Constitution should be highlighted.
