RAWALPINDI:

RPO Babar Sarfaraz Alpa has sought details regarding the non-submission of challans for anti-terrorism cases registered from 2020 to 2024, as well as the reasons for pending cases across the Rawalpindi Division.

In this regard, the Rawalpindi RPO has sent a memo to the CPO, as well as the DPOs and SSP Investigations of Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and Murree districts.

In the memo, police chiefs have been instructed to provide a detailed report on cases registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act. Following this request, the SSP Investigations has also sent a memo to the three divisional SPs of Rawalpindi—Rawal, Pothohar and Saddar—referencing the Anti-Terrorism Court No 1 and the Rawalpindi RPO's communication.

According to the memo, each division's police stations are required to submit complete details of anti-terrorism cases registered from 2020 to 2024, including challans that have not been submitted (either due to being untraceable or dismissed) or those pending for any reason.

The memo also warns that failure to provide details will result in departmental action against the responsible officers.
