K-P governor stresses promotion of industries

K-P Governor urges industries to leverage global opportunities in textile, leather sectors at Karachi Expo.

KARACHI:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has underscored that Pakistan's textile and leather industries hold a significant position globally and their development is crucial for the country's economy.

He said this while visiting the 5th International Textile and Leather Exhibition held at the Karachi Expo Centre on Wednesday. Both domestic and international representatives from the corporate sector highlighted the modern trends and technological advancements in textile and leather industries.

Governor Kundi urged K-P industries to capitalise on opportunities to establish their presence in the global market, adding that the province not only had skilled labour force in those industries but also offered extensive investment opportunities. He invited individuals associated with textile and leather sectors across the country to focus on K-P. He also mentioned ongoing efforts to enhance industrial cooperation with Tajikistan.
