In the latest season of Sister Wives, Kody Brown’s growing disconnect from reality is apparent as he navigates the aftermath of his multiple divorces. Season 19 highlights how the dynamics within the Brown family have shifted significantly since the dissolution of his marriages with Christine, Janelle, and Meri Brown. Once a staunch advocate for polygamy, Kody now appears to be struggling with the changing nature of his relationships.

Kody’s frustration is evident, particularly when his ex-wives began excluding him from key family activities. In one episode, Kody expressed anger when his daughter Madison and ex-wife Janelle made plans to purchase property in Montana without involving him. He felt this was a form of "punishment," saying, "They knew I suffered from FOMO," demonstrating his desire to remain in control.

Kody’s detachment extended further when he contemplated skipping a family wedding due to the tension with his ex-wives. "I talked to the bride and groom about not attending," Kody explained, citing awkwardness and unresolved feelings of betrayal. While the couple’s names were withheld, it’s suspected that the wedding involved his son Logan Brown and fiancée Michelle Petty.

Tensions continued when Kody addressed his divorce from Meri, acknowledging that their relationship had been over for years. In a candid moment, Kody remarked, "I don’t want to be accountable to this church and all their BS," explaining that he would "allow" Meri to proceed with the divorce on her terms. Meri, who had been emotionally abandoned by Kody since the infamous catfishing scandal, is now moving on with her life.

Sister Wives airs Sunday nights on TLC.
