Sean "Diddy" Combs is facing six more sexual abuse lawsuits, pushing the total number of civil cases against him to over two dozen. These new lawsuits, filed by prominent Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, include accusations from five additional plaintiffs, three of whom claim the alleged assaults occurred as recently as 2022. One man, a personal trainer, alleges he was drugged during an after-party celebrating Combs' Lifetime Achievement Award at the BET Awards in June 2022, claiming he was passed around "like a party favor."
Buzbee, who now represents more than 120 clients, filed these lawsuits shortly after filing six others earlier in the week. Combs' criminal defense team has responded by requesting a gag order to prevent further extrajudicial statements that could interfere with Combs' right to a fair trial. Combs, who is currently in jail awaiting trial on racketeering and sex trafficking charges, has pleaded not guilty.
The lawsuits detail alleged incidents spanning from 2000 to 2022. One plaintiff, a woman, claims she was drugged and assaulted by Combs after the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000 when she was just 13 years old. Other allegations include an assault during a promotional event for Combs' Cîroc vodka in 2022 and an incident where a 29-year-old singer claims she was raped by Combs in his office.
Combs' legal team has denied all allegations, claiming these lawsuits are an attempt to garner publicity. His trial is scheduled for May 2025.
