Musk pledges $1 million daily giveaways to petition signers in support of Trump

Musk awards $1 million check to attendee John Dreher, a surprise recipient for pledging support for 1st, 2nd amendment

Billionaire Elon Musk, the world’s richest person, announced that he will give away $1 million each day until the November 5 election to someone who signs his petition supporting the US Constitution.

At a Pennsylvania rally for former President Donald Trump, Musk awarded the first $1 million check to attendee John Dreher, a surprise recipient who was unaware of the impending prize.

The petition centers on pledging support for the First and Second Amendments.

The petition drive is part of a broader effort by Musk’s America PAC, a political action committee he founded to back Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.

Musk has donated at least $75 million to the group, making him a crucial figure in Trump’s bid to regain the presidency.

The PAC is focused on mobilizing and registering voters in key battleground states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Nevada.

At the event, Musk painted the upcoming election as a pivotal moment in US history, urging attendees to vote early and rally support for Trump.

He warned that if Trump’s Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, wins, it could be "the last election," suggesting that America’s future would be in jeopardy under her leadership.

Musk also referenced two assassination attempts against Trump, claiming they indicated Trump’s threat to the political establishment—an issue Harris supposedly doesn’t face due to being a “puppet” of the system.

Musk's America PAC is tasked with a high-risk strategy: reaching out to pro-Trump voters who don’t typically vote. This voter mobilization effort has faced challenges, especially in swing states like Wisconsin and Nevada, where the PAC has struggled to meet its ambitious outreach targets.

In Wisconsin, the PAC aimed to contact 450,000 voters by Election Day, but internal reports suggest the team is far behind its goals.

Concerns over inflated voter contact numbers and pressure on canvassers have added to the organization’s difficulties. An internal audit in Nevada is currently investigating whether some outreach efforts were falsified.

Despite these setbacks, Musk's financial backing has made America PAC a key player in the race, with Musk’s $75 million donation from July to September making him the single largest contributor to Trump’s canvassing efforts.

His public endorsement of Trump marks a significant shift in his political alignment, as Musk had previously supported Democratic candidates.

Trump has welcomed Musk’s support, stating that if re-elected, he would appoint Musk to lead a government efficiency commission.

Musk, who runs companies like Tesla and SpaceX, has increasingly aligned with conservative causes and has taken a prominent role in Trump’s campaign, attending rallies and supporting voter outreach initiatives in critical states.

The Harrisburg rally was the third Musk-led event in Pennsylvania within three days, as the entrepreneur continues to use his wealth and influence to boost Trump’s re-election chances.

Musk’s petition, promoting the constitutional rights of free speech and gun ownership, is also a tool for America PAC to gather contact information from potential voters.

As the election nears, Musk’s financial power and high-profile endorsements have made him an indispensable part of Trump’s campaign strategy, even as the PAC’s outreach efforts face scrutiny.

With Pennsylvania considered one of the most crucial battleground states, Musk’s role in mobilizing voters may significantly impact the election outcome.
