Tesla’s newest innovation, the Optimus bot, is making waves across the internet after its grand debut during the company’s "We, Robot" event at Warner Bros. Studios.

The event, which took place last week, gave attendees a first-hand look at Tesla’s highly anticipated humanoid robots, sparking an unexpected wave of memes that quickly went viral.

During the event, Elon Musk emphasized the dramatic progress Tesla has made with the robots, showcasing them in action as they interacted with guests, handed out gift bags, and even danced.

“We’ve made a lot of progress with Optimus,” Musk said as a group of robots walked onto the stage. “As you can see, we started up with someone in a robot suit… and then we’ve progressed dramatically year after year. So if you extrapolate this, you’re really going to have something spectacular, something that anyone could own. So you can have your own personal R2-D2, C-3PO.”

Musk also predicted that the robots would retail between $20,000 and $30,000, comparable to the price of a mid-tier car.

He promised that the Optimus bots could handle almost any task. “It’ll do basically anything you want,” Musk continued. “It can walk your dog, mow your lawn, get groceries... be your friend. Anything you can think of, it will do. It’ll be awesome.”

Following the event, social media users had a field day imagining how a personal robot could change their daily routines, leading to a flood of hilarious memes. One user shared a meme that read, "My Tesla Robot when I ask it to make me a seafood boil at 3am," accompanied by a comical image of a robot chef. Another tweeted, "My Tesla robot mad at me b/c I made it camp out overnight for the new Air Jordan 43."

The humor didn’t stop there. Other memes envisioned robots as personal assistants for less-than-conventional tasks, including rolling blunts or smuggling goods.

One tweet read, "My Tesla robot after I tell him to take my drugs through security for me."

Despite the lighthearted response, the unveiling of Tesla’s Optimus bot is being hailed as a significant step forward in robotics, with many speculating on how these machines could be integrated into everyday life in the near future.
