Every celebrity in Hollywood has likely had an unusual encounter with Diddy at some point, and Liam Payne was no exception. In 2017, Payne shared an awkward experience he had with the now-controversial rapper during an interview with KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O. Following Payne's tragic death on Wednesday, this old interview with Diddy has resurfaced and once again sparked fan conspiracy theories.

During the 2017 interview, the former One Direction singer recalled an uncomfortable moment when he met P Diddy at a celebrity-filled party. Standing nearby were Jay-Z and Leonardo DiCaprio, both of whom have remained silent since Diddy's arrest. Payne described meeting Diddy as "the most daunting celebrity experience," saying, "I went over to speak to him and Jay Z, and as I shook his hand, he just chuckled... the most evil laugh I've ever heard." Payne also added, "So I'm a little bit fearful of that man." He shared that, of the three—Jay-Z, Leonardo, and Diddy—he thought the rapper would be the safest to approach but admitted he had "missed the mark."

An X user connected Liam's sudden death to the ongoing controversy surrounding P Diddy's arrest. The suspicious user speculated that the former One Direction member may have lost his life for publicly speaking out against the music mogul. "Liam Payne talks about Diddy. Everyone tries to stop him. And now he dies mysteriously??! Connect the dots," the X user wrote while sharing the interview clip.

Fans mourning the singer’s untimely passing were left puzzled by this new conspiracy theory. One user commented, "There’s no such thing as an accident in the music industry. Liam’s ‘fall’ was a warning to others." Another wrote, "Too many stars die under suspicious circumstances. Liam’s fall is just another in a long line of unexplained deaths. #WakeUp."
