President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned separate sessions of both houses of parliamenat on Thursday (today).
The president summoned the session of the upper house of parliament, under Article 54 (1) of the Constitution of Pakistan, according to a notification issued by the Senate Secretariat.
Meanwhile, a communiqué issued by National Assembly secretariat stated that the president summoned the session of the National Assembly in exercise of the powers conferred by article 54(1) of the Constitution of
the country.
