After a four-year hiatus following the box office disappointment of his 2018 film Zero, Shah Rukh Khan made a spectacular return to the silver screen in 2023 with the action blockbusters Pathaan and Jawan.
Now, the Bollywood megastar is expressing interest in exploring the comedy genre. In a recent episode of the podcast Locarno Meets, Khan shared his desire to transition from action films to comedy.
"I was really happy that after 30 years of working in the film industry, I got to live my dream of doing an action film. Maybe after six months, I would like to do comedy, a little gentle film," he remarked.
Khan humorously noted that he is waiting for someone to write a comedy film and offer it to him.
The actor has previously showcased his comedic talent in hits such as Baadshah, Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, and Happy New Year, leaving fans eager for his return to the lighter side of cinema.
With his successful foray into action films now behind him, SRK's shift towards comedy is anticipated by audiences who have long enjoyed his versatility as an actor.
